From January 2013 to May 2013, I had the privilege of being an intern for the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society. As an intern for the NYGBS Manager of Digital Collections and Online Services, most of my tasks were to edit and/or create collections or resources for the NYGBS eLibrary. This included digitizing historical collections of information such as the diaries of John E. Lewis, editing the digitized images of the Josephine Frost Cemetery Inscriptions, and creating research county guides. You can read about the collections in the following NYGBS publications:
Ziegler, C. (2012). Josephine frost’s long island cemetery transcriptions vols. 1-13 now in the elibrary. The new york researcher, 23(4), 82.
Ziegler, C. (2013). New York through the eyes of a native: 1880-1956. The new york researcher, 24(1), 8-9.
